Located at: Hwy 65 and Soda Creek Drive

Schedule & Guaranteed Hours: The candidate can choose their schedule for either a 4 or 5 day work week- ideally Monday through Thursday 9am - 6pm OR Monday through Friday 11am - 6pm. The family is happy to guarantee 35 hours per week.

Live-In / Live-Out: Live-out

Commitment/Contract Length: This is a long-term position for 1+ year - longer if it’s a great match.

Children's Ages: Care will be for two children ages 6 and 8.

About the Children:

Their oldest daughter (8) is a typical oldest child—conscientious, funny, high-energy, and a bit sensitive.
She enjoys horseback riding, gymnastics, cheerleading, and all things girly.
The youngest daughter (6) is an exuberant, athletic “wild child” with a big personality.
She is smart, strong, and loves anything active—gymnastics, playing outside, jumping on the trampoline, and rough-and-tumble fun.
The family lives on five acres with plenty of outdoor space, including a playhouse, trampoline, and room for sledding in the winter.
Summers are filled with camps, and the kids’ school schedules include occasional after-school clubs that extend their pickup time.

About the Family:

Dual working parents.
Both parents primarily work outside of the home but have some flexibility in their schedule to be in and out of the home.

About the Pets:

The family has one small dog - all candidates must be pet-friendly.

Additional Notes:

This family has had previous nannies before, and the same housekeeper for over 20 years!
They are looking forward to welcoming in a new family assistant to their home - someone who will be a part of their parenting team - very soon.

Key Responsibilities

A day in the life...

Standard Duties:

All standard family assistant duties including school pick up and activity transportation, light housekeeping, general organization, grocery shopping, and light family meal prep.

Travel Requirements:

No travel is required for this position, but the family would love someone who is open to it occasionally, and with advanced notice.

Desired Skills and Abilities

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications…

2+ years of family assistant experience with school-age children
The ideal candidate has a great sense of humor, is light-hearted and laid back, yet able to keep the home organized and tidy.
Since the family lives on five acres, they enjoy a casual, low-stress atmosphere with not too many rules.

Compensation and Benefits

Let’s talk dollars and cents…

Rate of Pay (gross):

The family is offering $35-$40/hour (gross). Based on the guaranteed hours, this equates to an annualized compensation of $63,700 - $72,800 per year (gross).

Benefits and Perks Offered:

This family is offering all standard benefits, including 2+ weeks of paid time off, paid holidays, paid sick days and gas/mileage reimbursement for driving on the job OR a family vehicle to drive.

Any Additional Perks:

This family is also open to offering a health insurance reimbursement based on the candidate’s needs/total compensation package.

Required Qualifications

Have a minimum of 2-3+ years of applicable professional experience verifiable with references
Have strong professional and personal references
Have a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
Are 18+ years old and a high school graduate (2-4+ year degrees preferred)
Are authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction
Are a non-smoker
Committed to professional, legal pay
CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to renew prior to hire)
