Schedule & Guaranteed Hours: The family is happy to guarantee 18 hours of work, Wednesday, Thursday and then an additional day of candidates choice. Hours will be between 12:30/1pm and 6:30/7pm.

Live-In / Live-Out: Live-out

Commitment/Contract Length: This is a short-term position for 3 to 8+ months.

Children's Ages: Light childcare will be for two children who are 14 years old.

About the Children:

Both twins are in high school and are fairly independent, with full schedules of after-school activities. One twin is easygoing and highly involved in sports, balancing volleyball and a competitive soccer club team. She’s social, approachable, and tends to get along well with everyone. Her brother is playful and enjoys being goofy, though he can be a bit strong-willed at times. He has ADHD and thrives with clear structure, consistent reminders, and support to stay on top of homework. He participates in cross country and other sports as well.

About the Pets:

There are two dogs in this home, the family assiaint will be responsible for walking them, scheduling grooming appointments, and taking them to and from the vet and grooming appointments.

Additional Notes:

This family has a great relationship with their nanny in Chicago. She was proactive, part of the family, their go-to person!

Key Responsibilities

A day in the life...

Standard Duties:

All standard Family Assistant duties, including noticing and taking care of day-to-day household needs such as taking out the trash, running errands, grocery shopping, managing laundry from start to finish, tidying and organizing common areas, wiping down surfaces, providing after-school pick-up and transportation for children, as well as offering general household support to keep the home running smoothly. They also need additional help with dog walking and pet care.

Travel Requirements:

No travel is required, but they would love someone open to addtional hours, whether that be dog sitting or helping with overnights if mom and dad go out of town.

Desired Skills and Abilities

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications…

2+ years of strong family assiaint or household management experience with school-age children.
Must be organized, detail-oriented, and proactive.
Must have a good driving record.
The ideal candidate for this role will be proactive, organized, and eager to lend a helping hand. The family is looking for someone who truly enjoys their work as a Family Assistant and can become their “go-to” person for both childcare and household support. This is a wonderful opportunity for a candidate who loves being part of a family team and is open to picking up additional projects and responsibilities as they come up.

Compensation and Benefits

Rate of Pay (gross):

The family is offering $30-$36+/hour (gross)

Benefits and Perks Offered:

This family is offering gurenteed hours, a vehicle to drive on the job, and addtional work if desired.

Any Additional Perks:

They would love a candidate open to helping with occasional overnights and dog sitting for extra money (not required).

Required Qualifications

We welcome all candidates who meet or exceed the following requirements to apply…

Have a minimum of 2-3+ years of applicable professional experience verifiable with references
Have a strong background in household management.
Have a reliable vehicle, a valid driver’s license, and proof of auto insurance
A college graduate is strongly preferred (2-4+ years preferred)
Are authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction
Are a non-smoker
Committed to professional, legal pay
Must have a good driving record.
