Schedule & Guaranteed Hours: Family is seeking a standard, Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. schedule and is happy to guarantee 40 hours/week. Someone who is flexible, as needed, on start and end-times would be ideal.

Live-In / Live-Out: Live-out

Commitment/Contract Length: This is a long-term position. Family would love a nanny who is also looking for a multi-year commitment.

Family and Household Dynamics

A peek behind the front door...

Children's Ages: Care will primarily be for the family's youngest: 18-month-old twin boys, and their 4 year old, as-needed. The family's older children are 15, 13, 10, and 7 years old and are all in school full-time.

About the Children:

Care will be for the family’s active, curious and affectionate 18-month-old twin boys, who need an engaged caregiver with the patience and energy to keep two busy toddlers learning, playing and moving throughout the day. The nanny will also assist with the 4-year-old, who attends full-day preschool three days per week.
The four older children attend school full-time, are largely self-sufficient and require little direct supervision. They may need occasional help with transportation, meals and activity logistics, particularly during afternoons, school breaks and summer.
All of the children enjoy active schedules that include sports, ballet, time at the country club and activities outside the home.

About the Family:

This returning ABC family is looking for a trusted, long-term teammate who can help the household stay organized and running smoothly.
Mom is home and works collaboratively with the nanny, while Dad works full-time outside the home. The family values honesty, reliability, initiative and someone who takes ownership without needing continual direction.

About the Pets:

The family has two dogs and two cats. Candidates must be comfortable working in a home with multiple pets.

Additional Notes:

The family has enjoyed successful, long-term nanny relationships, including one that lasted five years. They especially valued her teaching background, creativity and thoughtful approach to planning activities.
The family prefers candidates who have no large visible tattoos, including sleeves or prominent leg tattoos, or nontraditional facial piercings. Small tattoos and standard piercings are acceptable.

Key Responsibilities

A day in the life...

Standard Duties:

The role will be a blend of childcare and Family Assistant support. Flexibility with duties day to day will be important based on the children’s schedules and the family’s needs.
All standard nanny duties are required, including preparing children’s meals, completing their laundry, providing school and activity transportation, and keeping their bedrooms, play areas and belongings organized. While Family Assistant responsibilities may include grocery shopping, household errands and keeping shared spaces tidy and well organized.
A full-time housekeeper handles deep cleaning and the majority of the family’s laundry!

Travel Requirements:

The ideal candidate will enjoy accompanying the family on one to two fun family trips per year! Travel will be planned with advance notice, and all expenses will be paid!

Desired Skills and Abilities

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications…

A minimum of 3+ years of professional nanny experience is required, including significant experience caring for toddlers. Previous professional experience caring for multiple children at once is required.
Family Assistant or household management experience is strongly preferred.
A four-year college degree but preferred, not required.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced, engaging nanny who genuinely loves young children and takes pride in creating order within a busy household. Someone who is warm and patient, calm and communicative, organized and proactive, flexible and able to go with the flow is needed.

Compensation and Benefits

Rate of Pay (gross):

The family is offering $35-$41/hour(gross) BOE. Based on the guaranteed hours, this equates to an annualized compensation of $63,700 - $85,280 per year (gross).

Benefits and Perks Offered:

The family is offering 2+ weeks of paid time off, paid major holidays, paid sick leave and the use of a family vehicle/nanny car while working.

Any Additional Perks:

This family is also open to offering a health insurance reimbursement based on their ideal candidate’s needs.

Required Qualifications

Have a minimum of 2-3+ years of applicable professional experience verifiable with references
Have strong professional and personal references
Have a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
Are 18+ years old and a high school graduate (2-4+ year degrees preferred)
Are authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction
Are a non-smoker
Committed to professional, legal pay
CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to renew prior to hire)
Have all standard vaccinations
