Located at: Erie (West Gunbarrel), near Hwy 287 and Baseline Road
Schedule & Guaranteed Hours: Family will 32 guaranteed hours per week, Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. No regular evenings, weekends or overtime are required, though occasional flexibility would be appreciated.
Live-In / Live-Out: Live-out.
Commitment/Contract Length: This is a long-term position for 1+ year.
Start Date: ASAP, with some flexibility for the right candidate.

Children's Ages: Care will be for one baby girl, born March 2026.
About the Children:
  • This curious, observant baby girl will be approximately 5 months old when the position begins. She’s rolling over, teething and loves being carried around so she can take in everything happening around her.
  • She’s currently nursing on demand and following approximately 1.5-hour wake windows. Her parents will soon introduce bottles and are still establishing her daily routine.
  • She’ll thrive with an attentive nanny who enjoys talking, reading, singing and creating engaging activities that support early learning and developmental milestones.
About the Family:
  • These first-time parents are seeking an experienced infant nanny who’ll confidently take ownership of their daughter’s days while maintaining open communication with them.
  • Mom works from a dedicated home office. Dad has a flexible hybrid schedule, and one parent will typically be working remotely each day.
  • The family values safety, reliability and meaningful interaction. They’re looking for a nanny who’ll be fully engaged with their daughter and comfortable working independently while a parent is home.
About the Pets:
  • There are no pets in the home. Mom has a significant cat allergy.

Key Responsibilities

A day in the life...

Standard Duties:
  • All standard nanny duties, including preparing and washing bottles, handling the child’s laundry and dishes, tidying the nursery and play areas, and preparing age-appropriate snacks and meals as she grows.
  • Plan interactive, developmentally appropriate activities and take the child on walks, outings and age-appropriate activities as her schedule allows.
  • The family employs a cleaning service, so no heavy housekeeping is required.
Travel Requirements:
  • No travel is required.

Desired Skills and Abilities

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications…

  • A minimum of two years of professional infant-care experience is required, ideally as an in-home nanny.
  • The family is open regarding education level of the nanny, although college is strongly preferred.
  • The ideal candidate will be very confident caring for a young infant and knowledgeable about feeding transitions, safe sleep, wake windows and developmental milestones. This person will be interactive, safety-focused and comfortable establishing structure as the baby’s routine develops.
  • The family is looking for someone who is warm, reliable, dependable and genuinely engaged. Their nanny should communicate openly, arrive consistently on time and work independently while a parent is home.

Compensation and Benefits

Let’s talk dollars and cents…

Rate of Pay (gross):
  • The family is offering $30-$32 per hour (gross), based on experience and qualifications. With 32 guaranteed hours per week, annualized gross compensation is approximately $49,920-$53,248.
Benefits and Perks Offered:
  • The family is offering two weeks of paid time off, paid sick time, standard paid federal holidays and use of a family vehicle while driving on the job.

  • Have a minimum of 2-3+ years of applicable professional experience verifiable with references
  • Have strong professional and personal references
  • Have a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
  • Are 18+ years old and a high school graduate (2-4+ year degrees preferred)
  • Are authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction
  • Are a non-smoker
  • Committed to professional, legal pay
  • CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to renew prior to hire)
  • Have all standard vaccinations, including tdap and flu
