Schedule & Guaranteed Hours: Monday through Friday 9a.m. to 5 p.m. plus one date night per month. The family is happy to guarantee 40 hours per week.
Live-In / Live-Out: Live-out
Commitment/Contract Length: This is a long-term position for 1+ year or more.

Key Responsibilities

A day in the life...

Standard Duties:
  • All standard nanny duties, including baby laundry, washing bottles, unloading and loading the dishwasher, cleaning breastpump parts, light meal prep for the family (washing and chopping), picking up after the baby, and putting grocery deliveries away.
Travel Requirements:
  • No travel is required for this position, but the family would love someone who is open to it occasionally, and with advanced notice.

Desired Skills and Abilities

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications…

  • 2 years of nanny experience with infants.
  • Fluency in Portuguese would be a plus, but it is not required.
  • Must be 100% confident with newborns.
  • Must be safety-conscious and knowledgeable about safe hygiene practices when working around a newborn.
  • The ideal candidate will be an experienced, warm, and loving career nanny who truly enjoys their work and takes pride in supporting an infant’s growth and development. This family is hoping to find a nanny who is looking for a long-term role and would love to grow with their child over the next few years. Safety is extremely important in this home, so the nanny should be very careful, responsible, and safety-conscious, with strong habits around handwashing, safe play, and overall awareness. They are looking for someone who is nurturing, attentive, and genuinely enjoys being present with their child, while also being open and receptive to the parents’ preferences and parenting style.
  • A background or education in early childhood education is also a plus, though not mandatory.

Compensation and Benefits

Rate of Pay (gross):
  • The family is offering $30-$35/hour (gross). Based on the guaranteed hours, this equates to an annualized compensation of $56,000 - $72,800 per year (gross).
Benefits and Perks Offered:
  • This family is offering all standard benefits, including 2 weeks of paid time off, paid major holidays, and paid sick days.

Required Qualifications

  • Have a minimum of 2-3+ years of applicable professional experience, verifiable with references
  • Have strong professional and personal references
  • Have a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
  • Are 18+ years old and a high school graduate (2-4+ year degrees preferred)
  • Are authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction
  • Are a non-smoker
  • Committed to professional, legal pay
  • CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to renew prior to hire)
  • The family asks that candidates be up to date on Tdap and MMR childhood vaccinations and receive an annual flu shot. COVID boosters are not required.
