Family and Household Dynamics

A peek behind the front door...

Children's Ages: Care will be for two children ages 2 and 4 years old.
About the Children:
  • This family has two bright, engaging young children who are both on the autism spectrum and bring unique gifts and personalities to their daily lives. Their oldest, age four, is gifted and reading at a second-grade level. He enjoys building with Legos, sculpting with playdough, and listening to music throughout the day. He’s becoming increasingly active and enjoys time outside in the family's new backyard. His younger brother, age two, is also bright and full of energy and curiosity. He adores music, especially anything by Ms. Rachel, and gravitates toward noisy, interactive toys like trucks and instruments. The family is also expecting a new baby in early February and plans to bring in a doula to support the transition once the baby arrives.
  • Both children attended full-time school Monday through Friday.
About the Family:
  • Dad works from home with private office space.
  • Both Mom and Dad are neurodivergent and have ADHD. They are seeking a supportive and proactive Family Assistant to help keep their household running smoothly and stay on top of day-to-day organization. Mom is currently pregnant and managing an autoimmune disorder that has flared up during her pregnancy. Unfortunately, she has been in and out of the hospital so she’ll especially benefit from an extra set of hands around the house. The ideal candidate will be someone who can assist with laundry, light tidying, and other typical household tasks, while offering reliable and compassionate after-school support to help the family stay on track.
About the Pets:
  • One sweet indoor cat also lives in the home.
Additional Notes:
  • Mom and Dad are super kind, patient, and laid back. They are looking for an organized, solid support system to help them during mom's pregnancy while dad is working.
