A quick look at this new ABC job…

Located at: CO-83 & Hodgen rd.

Schedule & Guaranteed Hours: Monday through Thursday, two days from 2pm to 7/8pm and two days from 2pm to 9pm. Occasional overnight might be needed when mom and dad both travel. 22 to 25 hours a week guaranteed.

Live-In / Live-Out: Live-out

Commitment/Contract Length: This is a long-term position for 6+ month commitment with the opportunity to extend.

Children's Ages: Care will be for two teens ages 14 and 16 years old.

About the Children:

Both teens attend school full-time and are involved in several after-school activities, including (but not limited to) Jack and Jill of America, track, football, basketball, and Scouts. The family is seeking a Family Assistant who can support transportation to and from activities, coordinate with tutors, and help manage homework, organization, and daily routines—ensuring the children stay on track at home, at school, and with their extracurricular commitments.

About the Family:

Dual-working parents who travel extensively for work.

About the Pets:

Two sweet and energetic pups live in the home. They will need the FA to walk the dogs and help schedule grooming appointments.

Additional Notes:

This family has had a great relationship with their past childcare providers and is still in touch with most of them today! They have become family.

Key Responsibilities

A day in the life...

Standard Duties:

All standard Family Assistant duties, including but not limited to laundry, dishes, errands, meal prepping, cooking for the boys, pet care, managing homework and organizational projects, school and activity pick-ups and drop-offs, scheduling, light houskeeping, and helping keep the household running smoothly day to day.

Travel Requirements:

The ability to help with overnights on occasion when mom and dad's travel schedules overlap.

Desired Skills and Abilities

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications…

2+ years of in-home experience as a nanny manager or family assistant.
Must have experience working with teens.
Must have a higher level of education outside of high school- a 4-year college degree strongly preferred.
A background in teaching or education is also strongly preferred.
A bilingual Spanish-speaking candidate would be strongly preferred, however, not required.
The ideal candidate is easy-going yet organized, proactive, and attentive to the family’s needs. They will be flexible by nature and comfortable stepping in to help as situations arise.

Compensation and Benefits

Rate of Pay (gross):

The family is offering $27-$30/hour (gross) based on education and experience.

Benefits and Perks Offered:

This family is offering 4 days of PTO after the first 60 days of employment, guaranteed hours, a gas or mileage stipend for driving on the job, and paid major holidays that fall on a scheduled work day.

Required Qualifications

Have a minimum of 2-3+ years of applicable professional experience verifiable with references
Have strong professional and personal references
Have a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
Are 18+ years old and a high school graduate (2-4+ year degrees preferred)
Are authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction
Are a non-smoker
Committed to professional, legal pay
CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to renew prior to hire)
Have all standard childhood vaccinations.
