Located at: Bayou Gulch & Flintwood
Schedule & Guaranteed Hours: 3 days per week, with a schedule of 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. or 4:00 p.m. They are flexible on which three days, but strongly prefer Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and/or Friday. The family can guarantee 21–24 hours per week.
Live-In / Live-Out: Live-out
Commitment/Contract Length: This is a short-term position for 4+ months - longer if it’s a great match.
Start Date: Mid-July

Family and Household Dynamics

Children's Ages: Care will primarily be for a newborn and occasional care for a 3.5-year-old child.
About the Children:
  • The oldest child is a social, happy, and imaginative 3.5-year-old who loves being outdoors, creative play, and using his big vocabulary. He is strong-willed in a typical preschooler way but is generally easygoing, friendly, and fun to be around.
  • The family is also welcoming baby #2 in early July, and they are excited to have a nanny help support this transition and establish a calm, nurturing routine for their newest addition.
About the Family:
  • Mom will primarily be home and enjoys cooking, exercising, and maintaining a balanced lifestyle.
  • Dad works full-time from home in a separate office space and travels minimally throughout the house during the workday.
About the Pets:
  • This family has one large, gentle 8-year-old Rhodesian Ridgeback. The dog is very docile - all candidates must be pet friendly.
Additional Notes:
  • The family has previously worked with younger, less experienced sitters and is now looking for a professional nanny who can confidently support their growing family during this exciting transition. They are open to building trust over time and eventually incorporating outings and adventures into the children's routines.

Key Responsibilities

A day in the life...

Standard Duties:

All standard nanny duties including:

  • Providing attentive and nurturing newborn care
  • Assisting with age-appropriate activities and engagement for the preschooler
  • Child meal preparation as needed
  • Children's laundry
  • Changing and washing children's linens
  • Light tidying and organization related to the children
  • Supporting routines and schedules
  • Creating a calm and positive environment for both children
Travel Requirements:
  • No travel is required for this position, but the family would love someone who is open to it occasionally, and with advanced notice.

Desired Skills and Abilities

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications…

  • 2-3+ years of professional nanny experience, including extensive newborn and infant care
  • Confident supporting families through the transition from one child to two
  • Calm, nurturing, and proactive personality
  • Able to balance newborn care while engaging a preschool-aged child
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with work-from-home parents
  • Comfortable in a family-oriented, home-based environment
  • Open to eventually taking the children on age-appropriate outings

Compensation and Benefits

Rate of Pay (gross):
  • The family is offering $30–$35/hour (gross), depending on experience.
Benefits and Perks Offered:
  • This family is offering all standard benefits, including 2 weeks of paid time off, 8 paid holidays, accrued paid sick days and gas/mileage reimbursement for driving on the job.

  • Have a minimum of 2-3+ years of applicable professional experience verifiable with references
  • Have strong professional and personal references
  • Have a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
  • Are 18+ years old and a high school graduate (2-4+ year degrees preferred)
  • Are authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction
  • Are a non-smoker
  • Committed to professional, legal pay
  • CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to renew prior to hire)
  • Have all standard vaccinations, including flu, tdap, and COVID-19
