A quick look at this new ABC job…

Located at: Observatory Park

Schedule & Guaranteed Hours: Monday through Friday 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. with some flexibility for the family assistant to stay later on occasion. The family is happy to guarantee 35 hours per week and would need them to flex up to 40 on occasion.

Live-In / Live-Out: Live - out

Commitment/Contract Length: This is a long-term position for 1+ year - longer if it’s a great match.

Start Date: As soon as possible

Children's Ages: Care will primarily be for one three-year-old.

About the Children:

This three-year-old is sweet and energetic. The family has enjoyed keeping their little one on a consistent schedule and would love to maintain that structure. While this little one is in school for 1/2 days, they would love help with household management. They also have a newborn on the way.

About the Family:

Dual-working parents who both work inside and outside of the home.
Mom and Dad do travel for work.

About the Pets:

Two hypoallergenic dogs will be around during the day. The family also has a bunny.

Key Responsibilities

A day in the life...

Standard Duties:

All standard family assistant duties including meal prep, pet care, dog walking, dishes, family laundry, organizational projects, running errands, light housekeeping, and general household management tasks.

Travel Requirements:

No travel is required for this position.

Desired Skills and Abilities

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications…

2+ years of nanny experience with toddlers and infants.
Previous experience with family assistant duties
The ideal candidate will be proactive, reliable, and highly organized, with strong family assistant experience.
Skilled in both childcare and household management, with a proven record of household management through references.
Respectful of the parents’ values and expectations, supporting them in raising their daughter to have good manners, healthy boundaries, and a kind, respectful attitude—while maintaining a loving and positive approach.

Compensation and Benefits

Let’s talk dollars and cents…

Rate of Pay (gross):

The family is offering $29-$35/hour (gross). Based on the guaranteed hours, this equates to an annualized compensation of $52,780 - $63,700 per year (gross).

Benefits and Perks Offered:

This family is offering all standard benefits, including 10 days of paid time off, paid holidays, paid sick days and gas/mileage reimbursement for driving on the job OR a vehicle to drive on the job.

Have a minimum of 2-3+ years of applicable professional experience verifiable with references
Have strong professional and personal references
Have a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
Are 18+ years old and a high school graduate (2-4+ year degrees preferred)
Are authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction
Are a non-smoker
Committed to professional, legal pay
CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to renew prior to hire)
Have all standard childhood vaccinations, including tdap.
