Position Highlights

A quick look at this new ABC job…

Located at: Monaco and E Colfax

Schedule & Guaranteed Hours: Typically Monday–Friday, 7:30/8:30 AM to 3:30/4:30 PM, with 40 guaranteed hours per week. The family will need a few split shifts per month, roughly 8 AM–12 PM and 5–9 PM. They will provide the schedule at least 2 weeks in advance.

Live-In / Live-Out: Live-out

Commitment/Contract Length: This is a long-term position for 1+ year - longer if it’s a great match.

Family and Household Dynamics

Children's Ages: Care will be for two children ages 2 and almost 5 years old.

About the Children:

The oldest is a curious and energetic little boy who loves building materials, exploring the outdoors, and participating in activities like ski lessons, and swim lessons. He’s potty trained but needs help with wiping and wears pull-ups during bedtime. The family's youngest is a happy and active little girl who loves interacting with her big brother. She also participates in activities like ski and swim lessons. She will be attending part-time school for two and a half hours in the afternoon in the fall. They plan on starting potty training once she starts school. Both children are active and love to be outside playing; they are easily engaged with organized activities and free play. There will be some overlap with kiddos' school schedules as the oldest is in school 8:15-2:45, the youngest is 12:30-3:00.

About the Family:

Mom works mostly out of the home, but does work from home on occasion in a private office space.
Dad works full-time outside of the home. Candidates should expect a couple of longer shifts on occasion when Dad is traveling for work.

About the Pets:

There are no pets in the home, but they might be open to getting a dog in the future.

Additional Notes:

This family has had a wonderful experience with their last ABC Nanny, who truly became part of their village. She was organized, engaging, and never on her phone around the children. She was always one step ahead and 110% reliable and on time. They are truly sad to see her go, but excited for their next chapter with a new nanny.

Key Responsibilities

A day in the life...

Standard Duties:

All standard nanny duties, including school pick up and drop offs, supporting developmental milestones, preparing healthy snacks and meals for the kids, child laundry, light housekeeping, picking up around the home, and providing a safe and creative learning environment.

Travel Requirements:

They would love their nanny to join them on one international trip and a few domestic trips a year. Last year, they brought their nanny to Italy for two weeks of the summer! The family also goes up to the mountains often.

Desired Skills and Abilities

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications…

2+ years of nanny experience with toddlers and school age kids.
MUST have 4-wheel drive/ all-wheel drive or snow tires and be comfortable driving in the snow.
Must come up with fun activities have have a plan for the day/week.
The family would love a bachelor's degree, but are open to a candidate who has furthered their education without a degree.
A nanny who is engaging, creative, and loves to get out and play.
Flexible, 110% reliable, and organized with strong time-management skills.
Ability to adapt, prepare, and stay on top of changing schedules and routines.
Must be proactive in communication and align with the family’s positive and respectful values.
The family is seeking a calm, easy-going, and proactive nanny who naturally notices what needs to be done and steps in. Their previous nanny consistently took initiative, from keeping children’s bags fully stocked with sunscreen, water, snacks, and essentials, to staying on top of daily household reset tasks like washing, drying, and folding laundry without reminders.

Compensation and Benefits

Let’s talk dollars and cents…

Rate of Pay (gross):

The family is offering $30-$35/hour (gross). Based on the guaranteed hours, this equates to an annualized compensation of $62,400 - $72,800 per year (gross).

Benefits and Perks Offered:

This family is offering all standard benefits, including 2 weeks of paid time off, paid holidays, paid sick days and gas/mileage reimbursement for driving on the job.

Any Additional Perks:

The family has memberships to all of Denver's kid-friendly attractions. They are looking for a nanny to keep them busy and out and about, going to the zoo, museums, and seasonal outings.

Required Qualifications

Have a minimum of 2-3+ years of applicable professional experience verifiable with references
Have strong professional and personal references
Have a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
Are 18+ years old and a high school graduate (2-4+ year degrees preferred)
Are authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction
Are a non-smoker
Committed to professional, legal pay
CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to renew prior to hire)
Have all standard vaccinations, including tdap.
