Located at: Louisville

Schedule & Guaranteed Hours: Help will be needed 3 to 4 days a week preferably Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 12 a.m. to 6p.m. The family is happy to guarantee 18 to 24 hours per week. Additional help into the evening would be nice on occasion.

Live-In / Live-Out: Live-out

Commitment/Contract Length: This is a short-term position for 3 to 5 months.

Children's Ages: Afterschool support will be needed for a 16 year old girl.

About the Children:

The family’s youngest child is, 16-year-old. Her older siblings are all going off to college. She was recently diagnosed with mild epilepsy and has started a new medication, so having someone nearby is important just in case. She is an active, engaged teenager involved in multiple sports and is a strong student. Most support will involve transportation to and from practices, school pick-ups, and occasional homework help.

About the Family:

Dual working parents with private office space who occasionally work from home.

About the Pets:

Two sweet dogs are in the home. Some light dog walking, as well as letting them out, will be needed.

Additional Notes:

This family used our services years ago and is back seeking extra support during this transitional time.

Key Responsibilities

A day in the life...

Standard Duties:

All standard family assistant duties, including childcare, light cooking, dishes, family laundry, light housekeeping, organizational projects, errands, dog walking, specialty projects such as research, scheduling vendors, and managing appointments.

Travel Requirements:

Travel is not required.

Desired Skills and Abilities

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications…

2 years of in-home experience with school-age children.
Previous experience with household management duties.
Must be up to date with CPR and first aid.
Must remain calm in an emergency,
A medical background would be highly desired.
Must have a good driving record.
A further level of education past high school is required.
The ideal Family Assistant will bring a fun, big-sister vibe—someone proactive, patient, calm, and stable, who can also assist with homework and provide dependable support in the home.

Compensation and Benefits

Rate of Pay (gross):

The family is offering $27-$33/hour (gross).

Required Qualifications

Have a minimum of 2-3+ years of applicable professional experience verifiable with references
Have strong professional and personal references
Have a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
Are 18+ years old and a high school graduate (2-4+ year degrees preferred)
Are authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction
Are a non-smoker
Committed to professional, legal pay
CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to renew prior to hire)
