Schedule & Guaranteed Hours: Tuesday through Thursday 1pm to 7pm and Friday noon to 6pm, with a weekly date night. The family is happy to guarantee 35 hours per week.

Live-In / Live-Out: Live-out.

Commitment/Contract Length: This is a long-term position for 1+ year - longer if it’s a great match.

Start Date: As soon as possible

Children's Ages: Care will be for three children ages 10, 8, and 5.

About the Children:

This lively crew has three kiddos! Their 10-year-old is a sports lover (soccer + football), a chess whiz, and a budding artist with a great sense of humor—he stays busy with after-school activities and sometimes just needs a little extra TLC after a long day. Their 8-year-old is as sweet as pie—easygoing, sensitive, and always creating, whether it’s on the basketball court, in the kitchen, with his violin, or at drama club. Their youngest, a spunky 5-year-old kindergartener, is independent, fun-loving, and all about the girly things.

About the Family:

Mom works full-time outside of the home as a pediatrician.
Dad works full time outside of the home as well.

About the Pets:

This family has one sweet older dog - all candidates must be pet-friendly.

Additional Notes:

This family has a great relationship with their previous nannies, two over the last 8 years. They are looking forward to welcoming in a new nanny to their home - someone who will be a part of their parenting team - very soon.

Key Responsibilities

A day in the life...

Standard Duties:

All standard family assistant duties including child laundry, meal prep, activity drop off, school pick up, grocery shopping, and organizational projects around the home with light tidying.

Travel Requirements:

No travel is required for this position but it would be a huge plus. The family would love someone who is open to it occasionally, and with advanced notice.

Desired Skills and Abilities

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications…

2+ year of nanny experience with school-age children.
Previous experience with family assistant duties.
Previous experience caring for multiple children at one time is required.
The ideal candidate is firm but loving, warm, flexible, and able to laugh at the little craziness that comes with kids.
They are also professional, dependable, and proactive in taking initiative around the home.

Compensation and Benefits

Rate of Pay (gross):

The family is offering $30-$35/hour (gross). Based on the guaranteed hours, this equates to an annualized compensation of $54,600 - $63,700 per year (gross).

Benefits and Perks Offered:

This family is offering all standard benefits, including 2+ weeks of paid time off, paid holidays, paid sick days and gas/mileage reimbursement for driving on the job OR a vehicle to drive on the job.

Any Additional Perks:

This family is also open to offering a full healthcare package.

Have a minimum of 2-3+ years of applicable professional experience verifiable with references
Have strong professional and personal references
Have a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
Are 18+ years old and a high school graduate (2-4+ year degrees preferred)
Are authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction
Are a non-smoker
Committed to professional, legal pay
CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to renew prior to hire)
