Located at: Wash Park
Schedule & Guaranteed Hours: The Family Assistant will create a schedule based on Mom and Dad’s varying work schedules. They receive their schedules 2 months in advance. Hours are typically between 7 am to 6 pm Monday through Friday with one weekend per month required, usually 4-5 days per week with most mondays off. They would also love one date night per month and can guarantee 140 to 150 hours a month.
Live-In / Live-Out: Live-out
Commitment/Contract Length: This is a long-term position for 1+ year - longer if it’s a great match.
Start Date: Nov 1st 2025

Children's Ages: Care will be for three children ages 15, 12, and 8 years old.
About the Children:

All of the children are in school full-time close to the home. The role will have heavy house management during the school year and then adjust to more childcare in the summer.

  • Dual-working Physicians who work outside of the home.

About the Pets:
  • This family has one cat and a puppy - all candidates must be pet friendly.

  • As a returning ABC Family, this family has had great relationship with past nannies. They are fantastic employers!

Key Responsibilities

A day in the life...

Standard Duties:
  • All standard family assistant duties including the family's laundry, some pet care, occasional grocery shopping, preparing simple balanced meals, organizational projects, running errands, general tidying around the house, managing the family calendar, and planning summer camps and activities for the children.

Travel Requirements:
  • No travel is required for this position, but the family would love someone who is open to it occasionally, and with advanced notice.

Desired Skills and Abilities

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications…

  • 2+ years of nanny experience with school-age children
  • Previous experience with household management duties verified through referances.
  • The ideal candidate for this job is flexible and adaptable, able to adjust to the changing needs of their busy household. Strong organizational skills are also highly valued, as the ideal candidate will take ownership of their responsibilities, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
  • The family seeks an individual who actively engages with their children, can swim, has a playful nature, and can foster a nurturing environment.
  • Furthermore, kindness and a positive attitude are crucial qualities that the family seeks in a caregiver.
  • CPR and First Aid training are mandatory, alongside completion of a body safety course as requested by the parents.

Compensation and Benefits

Let’s talk dollars and cents…

Rate of Pay (gross):
  • The family is offering $29-$35/hour (gross) based on hours and experience. Based on the guaranteed hours, this equates to an annualized compensation of $55,000 - $61,200 per year (gross).
Benefits and Perks Offered:
  • All standard benefits, including 10 days of paid time off (PTO) to be accrued, Health Insurance Stipend (depending on pay rate), 6 paid holidays (holiday of your choice), a car for driving on the job, and guaranteed hours.
Any Additional Perks:
  • This family is also open to offering a health insurance reimbursement based on the candidate’s needs/total compensation package.

Required Qualifications

We welcome all candidates who meet or exceed the following requirements to apply…

  • Have a minimum of 2-3+ years of applicable professional experience verifiable with references
  • Have strong professional and personal references
  • Have a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
  • Are 18+ years old and a high school graduate (2-4+ year degrees preferred)
  • Are authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction
  • Are a non-smoker
  • Committed to professional, legal pay
  • CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to renew prior to hire)
  • Have all standard vaccinations, including TDaP.
