Family and Household Dynamics

A peek behind the front door...

Children's Ages: Care will be for four children ages 9, 7, 5 and 3 years old.
About the Children:
  • This fun-loving household is full of energy, curiosity, and heart. The oldest child is a determined, athletic, and outgoing boy who thrives on independence, physical activity, and conversation—he’s always eager to jump in and help when needed. His younger sister brings a softer, more thoughtful energy to the mix; she’s artistic, nurturing, and quietly brave, often stepping up to care for her brothers while expressing herself through crafts and drawing. The middle son is a gentle, sweet-natured boy who looks up to his older brother and is currently discovering his own interests and voice. He’s a great listener and eager to follow direction while learning to assert himself. The youngest is a lively, clever, and affectionate little boy who’s deeply bonded to his mom, always ready for cuddles and conversation.
  • The family’s two oldest children are homeschooled and will be with their mom most mornings, while the 5-year-old is in school part of that time with mom, and the 3-year-old will spend most time with the nanny.
  • Mom hopes to tag-team with a warm, active Family Assistant to help balance the needs of the children and home throughout the day.
About the Family:
  • Dad works full-time. Mom is very busy homeschooling the children and keeping the household running smoothly.
  • The Family Assistant will primarily serve as a partner to mom, tag-teaming the day to help keep the household running smoothly and ensure the younger children are actively engaged.
About the Pets:
  • There are no pets in the home.
Additional Notes:
  • In the mornings, the FA will take the lead with the younger boys while mom focuses on homeschooling; this includes age-appropriate, enriching play and ensuring they are busy, happy and learning. In the afternoon, the FA will focus more on household management duties.

Key Responsibilities

A day in the life...

Standard Duties:
  • All standard Family Assistant duties, including but not limited to: childcare, dishes, laundry, errands, meal prep, cooking for the children, researching sports and activities, calling to get quotes, managing vendors, light housekeeping, and organizational projects.
Travel Requirements:
  • The ability to travel is required twice a year for a week at a time. They would also love weekend support for one long weekend a quarter if mom and dad travel.
