Located at: I-25 & Hampden
Schedule & Guaranteed Hours: Hours will be provided 1-2 weeks in advance and will typically fall Monday through Friday. Overnights are needed Monday through Thursday, ranging from 3–10 per month depending on Mom’s travel. A guarantee of 160 hours per month will be provided. Occasional weekend days will be needed with far advanced notice.
Live-In / Live-Out: Live- out
Commitment/Contract Length: This is a long-term position for 1+ year - longer if it’s a great match.
Start Date: January 5th

About the Children:
  • Care is for one school age child who is 12 years old. The child identifies as they/them. They're looking for another great FA who will embrace their individuality, including their gender identity, with confidence and grace.
  • They are sweet, kind, and highly sensitive, with a strong ability to connect emotionally and a natural artistic talent, especially in knitting and fashion. An “old soul” with a great sense of humor, they thrive on praise and positive reinforcement.
  • They attend Denver Academy, where they excel academically as a twice-exceptional student with a high IQ and benefit from tailored learning approaches.
About the Family:
  • The family consists of a single mom, as the father sadly passed away a few years ago. She has an older son currently in college and maintains a very busy schedule, including frequent work travel.
  • She is seeking a strong, reliable, and positive role model for her child to provide stability and support during her time away.
About the Pets:
  • There are no pets in the home.

  • The family successfully employed a thoughtful, open-minded, reliable and mature Family Assistant through ABC in years prior and are eager to find another person to join their family!

Key Responsibilities

A day in the life...

Standard Duties:
  • All standard Family Assistant duties, including managing household schedules and appointments, running errands and grocery shopping, Light meal prep, Home organization and overseeing vendors or maintenance, assisting with travel arrangements and correspondence, providing general household and childcare support to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Some weeks may be lighter with more focus on house management if Mom is home. While she is traveling, the week will include more before/after-school hours and overnights.
  • Mom’s travel schedule is heaviest from January through June.
Travel Requirements:
  • No travel is required for this position, but the family would love someone who is open to it occasionally, and with advanced notice.

Desired Skills and Abilities

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications…

  • 2+ years of nanny experience with school-age children
  • Previous experience with household management duties
  • The ideal candiate is warm, supportive, and open-minded, with strong organizational skills and the ability to take initiative.
  • This person should bring dependability, good judgment, and a calm presence, stepping in seamlessly when Mom is away to keep the home running smoothly and provide consistency for the child.

Compensation and Benefits

Rate of Pay (gross):
  • The family is offering $30-$34/hour (gross). Based on the guaranteed hours, this equates to an annualized compensation of $57,600 - $65,280 per year (gross).
Benefits and Perks Offered:
  • This family is offering all standard benefits, including 2+ weeks of paid time off, paid holidays, paid sick days and gas/mileage reimbursement for driving on the job.

  • Have a minimum of 2-3+ years of applicable professional experience verifiable with references
  • Have strong professional and personal references
  • Have a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
  • Are 18+ years old and a high school graduate (2-4+ year degrees preferred)
  • Are authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction
  • Are a non-smoker
  • Committed to professional, legal pay
  • CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to renew prior to hire)
  • Have all standard vaccinations, including flu, tdap, and COVID-19
