Schedule & Guaranteed Hours: Typical schedule will be Tuesday through Friday 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The family is happy to guarantee 40 hours per week.

Commitment/Contract Length: This is a long-term commitment for a year or more.

Children's Ages: Care will be for two children who are 1.5 and 4 years old.

About the Children:

This family is looking for a nanny to care for two fun-loving, sweet children. Their oldest child is newly 5 years old and love being outdoors, imaginary play, and riding his bike. While their youngest is a doll, who loves all things little girl! She loves horses, playing with her toys and snuggling up to read, color and imaginary play.
The oldest goes to school part-time, 5 half days a week, and the family will need a nanny to help with transport (5 mins away).

About the Family:

Parents are both in the medical field and work long hours outside of the home. They are looking for someone who is reliable, timely, and engaging to care for their children while they are away.
Ideally, they'd love to hire a nanny who will stay with them for more than one year. They'll need nanny care for the next several years!

About the Pets:

Two dogs live in this home and are part of the family. They have a small dog (<20 lbs) and a larger lab, who is friendly and easy going (60+ lbs).

Key Responsibilities

A day in the life...

Standard Duties:

All standard nanny duties will be required.
Parents may request additional support with local errands, grocery shopping and meal prep (primarily dinner for the family) based on the demands of their schedules.

Travel Requirements:

No travel is required for this position, although a nanny who is open to it 1 week/year would be lovely.

Desired Skills and Abilities

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications…

2+ years of full-time childcare experience as a nanny, teacher or daycare provider with young children. Preference will be given to candidates who have in-home nanny experience.
An AA or BA/BS degree is desired but not required.
The ideal nanny for this role will have a strong understanding of child development, enjoy the ebbs and flows of caring for young children, and who is committed, reliable, and ready to grow with them long term. Additionally, they're seeking a nanny who can bring structure and consistency to the home, while also being warm, grounded, and emotionally attuned to the children's needs.

Compensation and Benefits

Rate of Pay (gross):

The family is offering $25-$30/hour (gross).

Benefits and Perks Offered:

This family is offering all standard benefits, including 8 days of paid time off per year, most major paid holidays, and paid sick days.

Required Qualifications

Have a minimum of 2-3+ years of applicable professional experience verifiable with references
Have strong professional and personal references
Have a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
Are 18+ years old and a high school graduate (2-4+ year degrees preferred)
Are authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction
Are a non-smoker
Committed to professional, legal pay
CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to renew prior to hire)
Have all standard vaccinations.
