Located at: E Crossroads Blvd and Colorado Blvd

Schedule & Guaranteed Hours: Monday through Friday 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. during the school year and then 8:30am to 4:30pm during the summer. The family is happy to guarantee 35 hours per week.

Live-In / Live-Out: Live-out

Commitment/Contract Length: This is a long-term commitment for a year or more.

Children's Ages: Care will be for two children ages 9 and 12.

About the Children:

Both children are in school full-time, so the role will primarily focus on family assistant duties during the day. In the afternoons, responsibilities will include school pick-up, driving to after-school activities, and providing homework support. The youngest is a social butterfly; she is very active in sports and gymnastics. Dad's oldest is smart and loves to learn facts and history. He is also trying to navigate ADHD and Dyslexia.

About the Family:

This is a single-parent home as mom passed away last year. Dad works full-time and is looking forward to a strong partnership with a family assistant.

About the Pets:

Three pets live in this home: two sweet dogs and a cat. Dog walking and scheduling vet and grooming appointments with be part of the family assistant's duties.

Key Responsibilities

A day in the life...

Standard Duties:

All standard family assistant duties, including organizing projects, pet care, after-school support, light housekeeping, family laundry, dishes, cooking, meal planning, errands, shopping, scheduling and managing vendors, specialty projects such as interviewing and scheduling tutors, researching camps, and after-school activities.

Travel Requirements:

No travel is required for this position.

Desired Skills and Abilities

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications…

2+ years of nanny experience with school-age children.
Previous experience with household management duties.
A further level of education is desired but not required. Must be able to look over homework and make sure it is completed.
Knowledge and understanding of ADHD and dyslexia.
The ideal Family Assistant for this role will have a strong understanding of household management and what it takes on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis to keep a home running smoothly. This family is looking for a true career Family Assistant—someone who is committed, reliable, and ready to grow with them long term.
They are seeking a candidate who can bring structure and consistency to the home, while also being warm, grounded, and emotionally attuned to the children's needs. A strong sense of boundaries, predictability, and emotional stability is essential. These children have been through a very difficult year following the passing of their mother, and the family is looking for someone who can be a positive role model and a steady, uplifting presence in their lives.

Compensation and Benefits

Rate of Pay (gross):

The family is offering $25-$30/hour (gross).

Benefits and Perks Offered:

This family is offering all standard benefits, including 10 days of paid time off, paid holidays, paid sick days, and a vehicle for driving on the job.

Required Qualifications

Have a minimum of 2-3+ years of applicable professional experience verifiable with references
Have strong professional and personal references
Have a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
Are 18+ years old and a high school graduate (2-4+ year degrees preferred)
Are authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction
Are a non-smoker
Committed to professional, legal pay
CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to renew prior to hire)
Have all standard vaccinations.
