Located at: S. Denver/ Cherry Hills Village: Quincy Avenue and University Boulevard

Schedule & Guaranteed Hours: This family is seeking consistent afternoon-to-evening support Monday through Friday, with one full weekday shift on Thursdays. The anticipated schedule is Monday through Wednesday from approximately 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Friday from approximately 12:00 p.m. to 6/7/8:00 p.m. The family will provide the schedule two weeks in advance. The position guarantees 40 hours per week and will not need over-time hours.

Live-In / Live-Out: The family is open to live-in or live-out candidates, with a preference for live-in. A private, detached guest house is available on the family’s property.

Commitment/Contract Length: This is a long-term position for 1+ year.

Start Date: August/September, 2026

Children's Ages: Care will be for two boys who will be 3 years old and approximately 15 months old at the anticipated start date.

About the Children:

The older child is an active, joyful little boy who loves sports, swimming, outdoor play and reading. He is curious, communicative and eager to learn, and his family describes him as a little sponge with wonderful manners. He currently attends preschool for a combination of full and half days. Occasional school transportation may be needed.
The younger child is fiercely independent, observant and always ready for his next meal. He enjoys being active, playing with soccer balls and mini footballs, and exploring the world at his own pace.
With two boys close in age, the days are busy and active. The family uses positive reinforcement, clear structure and gentle redirection to support both children as they grow, learn and navigate sibling dynamics.

About the Family:

This warm, playful family values clear routines and boundaries while keeping home life light, flexible and as stress-free as possible.
Mom is a hands-on, stay-at-home parent who enjoys working collaboratively with the family’s nannies. Dad primarily works outside the home but has flexibility in his schedule.
The parents value calm communication, sound judgment and a nanny who can maintain consistency without being overly rigid.

About the Pets:

The family has a mini Bernedoodle. Candidates should be comfortable around dogs, and occasional help coordinating grooming or veterinary appointments would be appreciated.

Additional Notes:

The family’s current nanny has been with them for two years and will remain in the household while attending graduate school. This position is being added to strengthen afternoon, early evening and Thursday coverage. There will likely be overlap between the two nannies, likely during the middle of the day.
They hope to find a long-term teammate who can work comfortably alongside their current nanny and build an authentic, professional relationship with the family.
Their successful relationship with their current nanny has been built on flexibility, strong childcare experience, knowledge of child development and a calm, capable approach.

Key Responsibilities

A day in the life...

Standard Duties:

This position is approximately requires both childcare and Family Assistant support - generally 60/40 but can vary weekly. This individual will need to help manage the family’s busiest hours, including afternoon activities, dinner and evening routines.
All standard Nanny/Family Assistant duties are required, including childcare, preparing children’s meals, children’s laundry, light family laundry, keeping the children’s and shared living spaces tidy, meal prep, and occasional grocery shopping and household organization.
A professional cleaning crew handles the home’s deep cleaning. This position includes light tidying and household upkeep but no heavy housekeeping.
Plan age-appropriate activities and outings, assist with preschool transportation as needed, and work collaboratively with Mom and the family’s current nanny.

Travel Requirements:

The family would love to hire someone open to sharing travel responsibilities with their current nanny. Travel may include long weekends at the family’s Breckenridge home, which they visit approximately 15-20 times per year, several summer trips and occasional domestic or international travel. Previous destinations have included Hawaii, Mexico, France, New York City, San Diego and Lake Tahoe. The family provides advance notice.

Desired Skills and Abilities

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications…

At least 2 to 3 years of professional childcare experience, including experience with toddlers and preschool-age children, is required. The family is open to beginner nannies who have other/varied childcare experience.
Family strongly prefers someone who has previous experience caring for two young children close in age.
Family Assistant experience and experience working alongside another nanny or a hands-on parent would be especially helpful but is not required.
A strong understanding of early childhood development is highly preferred.
The family is open regarding educational background and will prioritize relevant experience and overall fit. Coursework or a degree related to child development, education or a similar field would be welcomed.
The ideal candidate will be confident managing two active young children while balancing childcare and household support. The family is looking for someone calm, flexible, playful and difficult to fluster. They should communicate naturally, respect established routines without being overly rigid and enjoy working as part of a collaborative household team.

Compensation and Benefits

Let’s talk dollars and cents…

Rate of Pay (gross):

The family is offering $32 to $40 per hour, equivalent to annualized gross compensation of $66,560 to $83,200 based on 40 guaranteed hours per week. Overtime is not anticipated.

Benefits and Perks Offered:

The family is offering two weeks of paid time off, paid sick leave, standard paid federal holidays, use of a family vehicle while working and openness to providing a health insurance stipend.

Any Additional Perks:

The family is offering a beautiful, detached guest house available for a live-in Nanny/Family Assistant in Cherry Hills Village. Live-in is preferred but not required.
