Located at: I-25 & Harmony Road, Timnath

Schedule & Guaranteed Hours: Monday through Friday 6:30/7/8 a.m. to 4/5/6 p.m. schedule given 2 to 3 months in advance. They would also love a date night every other week. The family is happy to guarantee 40 hours per week and pay overtime for any hours worked over 40.

Live-In / Live-Out: Live-out

Commitment/Contract Length: This is a long-term position for 1+ year

Children's Ages: Care will be for two children ages 6 and 4.

About the Children:

The older child is a bright and imaginative elementary schooler who enjoys books, Legos, and outdoor activities like bike riding and skiing. He has a witty sense of humor, tends to be a bit on the quieter side.
The youngest is an energetic and curious preschooler who spends his days at Montessori school. He’s full of personality, asks surprisingly deep or silly questions for his age, and has a vivid imagination—often talking as though he “went to work” all day. He loves Legos and is fully potty trained.

About the Family:

Dual working parents, mom works from home 30% of the time.
Mom and Dad are both doctors and have to work odd hours on occasion.

About the Pets:

There are no pets in the home.

This family has a great relationship with their current nanny, who is changing careers. They are looking forward to welcoming a new long-term nanny/family assistant very soon!

Key Responsibilities

A day in the life...

Standard Duties:

All standard family assistant duties, including meal prepping, family laundry, light housekeeping (vacuuming and wiping down surfaces), general tidying, running errands, organizational projects, and cooking simple light meals three nights a week.

Travel Requirements:

The ability to travel is not required. The family would love if a candidate were open to a rare and occasional overnight.

Desired Skills and Abilities

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications…

2+ years of nanny experience with school-age children.
Previous experience with household management duties.
A higher level of education to help with elementary school homework.
They truly want a long-term fit and a career family assistant who can stay and grow with their family.
The ideal candidate will be proactive around the home, taking initiative to find ways to stay engaged and productive throughout a 40-hour workweek. They should be 110% reliable, energetic, and fully supportive of the family’s no-screen-time policy for the children.

Compensation and Benefits

Let’s talk dollars and cents…

Rate of Pay (gross):

The family is offering $24-$29/hour (gross). Based on the guaranteed hours, this equates to an annualized compensation of $50,000 - $60,000 per year (gross).

Benefits and Perks Offered:

This family is offering 4+ weeks of PTO to coordinate with their families (this will be given 6+ months in advance and is often much more than 4 weeks), gurenteed hours, most paid major holidays, paid sick days, and gas/mileage reimbursement for driving on the job.

Any Additional Perks:

This family often takes additional time off, and they enjoy longer weekends in which the FA will still be paid while they are away.

Required Qualifications

We welcome all candidates who meet or exceed the following requirements to apply…

Have a minimum of 2-3+ years of applicable professional experience verifiable with references
Have strong professional and personal references
Have a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
Are 18+ years old and a high school graduate (2-4+ year degrees preferred)
Are authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction
Are a non-smoker
Committed to professional, legal pay
CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to renew prior to hire)
Have all standard vaccinations with Tdap. Strongly preferred flu and COVID-19 booster each year.
