Family and Household Dynamics

A peek behind the front door...

Children's Ages: Care will primarily be for three children ages 8 and 6-year-old twins.
About the Children:
  • The family's oldest daughter is confident, bright, and a natural leader. While she may be reserved at first and occasionally test boundaries, she is sweet, funny, helpful, and outgoing once she feels comfortable. She enjoys swimming, golf, climbing, school plays, and staying active.
  • The 6-year-old twins are energetic, affectionate, and independent, each with their own unique personality. Their daughter is bold, fearless, and always eager to help, while their son is easygoing, cuddly, and loves sports. Both participate in occupational therapy, with their son also attending speech and vision therapy. They enjoy swimming, climbing, and other active pursuits, and continue to thrive with the support they've received.
About the Family:
  • Both parents are highly involved in their children's lives and work as a team. They are frequently home and actively engaged, so they are looking for a professional who feels comfortable working alongside hands-on parents while confidently taking initiative when appropriate.
  • The family places a strong emphasis on manners, gratitude, and respect. They are a practicing Catholic family whose faith plays an important role in their daily lives, and they hope to welcome someone whose values naturally align with theirs.
About the Pets:
  • There are no pets in the home.
Additional Notes:
  • The family has had wonderful long-term relationships with previous caregivers, all of whom remain close family friends. In fact, their last three nannies still stay in regular contact, and the family would love their future nanny to speak with them to learn more about the position and the family dynamic.

  • Household responsibilities include children's and family laundry, loading and unloading the dishwasher, washing dishes as needed, vacuuming and tidying common living areas, changing the children's bed linens, maintaining organization throughout the home, rotating children's clothing as they outgrow items, and keeping an ongoing inventory of household and children's supplies that need replenishing or replacing.

  •   The ideal candidate will be proactive, organized, calm under pressure, and able to anticipate the family's needs while contributing to a positive, respectful, and team-oriented household.
Travel Requirements:
  • No travel is required for this position, but the family would love someone who is open to it occasionally, and with advanced notice.
